The FAST method was developed as a proactive approach to identifying future hazards that have not yet appeared because those catalysts or changes that may produce these hazards have not yet fully developed.
The FAST handbook is intended to:
- Bring together the key elements of the FAST method for review and understanding by the aviation world
- Inform FAST "Customers" and "Stakeholders" regarding the FAST method
- Serve as a reference guide for the FAST method
